Steve Light
Steve Light grew up in an enchanted place known as New Jersey. He went on to study Illustration at Pratt Institute; he also studied with Dave Passalacqua. Steve Light has work in the Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum and Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art.
He has published many children’s books by Abrams, Candlewick Press and Chronicle Books. Some of Steve’s books include: Trucks Go, The Christmas Giant, Zephyr Takes Flight, Have You Seen My Dragon?, Have You Seen My Monster?, SWAP!, Lucky Lazlo, Have You Seen My Lunchbox?, Builders and Breakers, Black Bird Yellow Sun, Mama Tiger Tiger Cub, Up Cat Down Cat, Road Trip! A Whiskers Hollow Adventure and A Spider Named Itsy. Gus and Sully: Watch The Weather, Gus and Sully: Ready For School (out soon), and Gus and Sully: All Week Long (out soon) are Steve’s newest board book series from Candlewick Press. Steve lives in Manhattan with his lovely wife and cat. Steve loves to draw everyday especially with fountain pens and sharing his art and stories with children.
